The 45th Annual AMAA Symposium

We are happy to announce that we will be in attendance at the 45th Annual American Medical Athletic Association Symposium at the Boston Marathon. Since 1969, this group has brought together leaders in the health professions to discuss the latest research and results in the fields of exercise and healthy living. The AMAA equips doctors and other professionals with the information they need to encourage patients to pursue healthier, more active lifestyles.

This year, we are especially excited about Dr. Bob Murray’s presentation: How Curiosity Killed the Cramp. Bob served as director of the Gatorade Sports Science Institute for 23 years and has dedicated his career to understanding how to maximize the body’s athletic and performance potential. He has also been instrumental in developing formulation and usage guidelines, both for industry and consumers, for science-based performance products. His expertise on performance and on the emerging research regarding muscle cramping in athletes is recognized in medical and sports industries alike.

We look forward to discussing the science behind #ITSTHENERVE with professionals across the sports-medicine spectrum. You can take a look at the research summaryhere. As the first scientifically proven product to treat and prevent muscle cramps, #ITSTHENERVE invites professionals across the sports-medicine discipline to have a look at our product. We welcome the opportunity to speak with this community about our product and the results we see in athletes like Cassidy and the Singlespeed Militia.

We would love to hear your story about how cramps impact you or your patients during training or competition. In beta testing, #ITSTHENERVE is already changing how athletes train and perform. Explore our blog and follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, to hear how simmers, runners, cyclists, triathletes, and Ironman competitors are discovering what it’s like to compete cramp-free. We can’t wait until our official launch later this spring when athletes across the country can experience this game-changing difference.

Join the conversation below. As a sports-medicine professional, what remedies have you tried or recommended? Patients—what advice have coaches and doctors given you to address cramps? How did it go? For those attending the AMAA Symposium, we’ll see you soon! To everyone else, stay in touch for the latest from #ITSTHENERVE.
